Welcome to the Budgerigar Society of NSW Inc - Canberra Branch Inc website. Our small club breeds and exhibits budgerigars.

We conduct an Annual Show in March and two Young Bird Shows in October each year. We also assist the running of the Southern Cup and we field a team in the State Team Challenge.

Special congratulations go to Mario Capasso for winning Grand Champion Adult Feather. Also special mention must go to our Novice members with an excellent showing. For the full wrap up see the Young Bird Shows section.

Our monthly meetings conduct the business of the Branch. We hold a table show at each meeting in a friendly social atmosphere. Newer members judge the birds mentored by a senior member. The results are less important than the experience gained by all involved.

After the table show we conduct a discussion on a topic chosen by the members. Occasionally this involves a visiting expert in a field relating to the care of budgerigars.

We seek to promote the best interests of the budgerigar in the home, the aviary and in the wild.
